My daughter and I are building a robot together, and I’d love to use 12blocks to introduce her to programming. Our robot is using an Arduino Uno, the CMDR motor control board from Solarbotics, the WaveHC shield from Adafruit, and a bunch of other sensors.

I had added a comment to the Arduino blog entry regarding importing Arduino libraries into 12blocks, and Hanno suggested importing the .h file which would make the various public functions available. Unfortunately, I can’t seem to get it to work in either the PC or Mac version of 12blocks.

Is there anything else I need to do? Place the libraries in a special folder? Add a line or two to the .h file?

Nevermind, I was using the wrong version of 12blocks. I was still using 2.5x. It worked fine in 2.71.

So next question: has anyone tried multitasking on the Arduino via 12blocks? I came across this nifty library, ave-os, that seems to make the task easier:

It doesn’t import like a “normal” Arduino library, but I thought it would make for a neat feature (once I can get it running)…

Not trying to jack the thread but where do I get a version 2.71?

    Right here:

I’m not sure why this version isn’t listed on the main download page, but there you go.
